Dave Canfield
The old man of the group, Canfield is slowly plugging away at a book on horror film when not running his own film site here. He also lives in a religious commune founded by Jesus-hippies. Really. I'm not making that up.

The DVD cover to "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" is just plain awful. For all the people at Dreamworks: people DO judge a book by its cover and there's nothing about this artwork that would catch my eye if I saw it on a shelf. I would expect this kind of art for AEON FLUX, not for a film which was nominated for an award at the Cannes Film Festival. It's a slap in the face to Mamoru Oshii and the animators at Production IG who poured their hearts and souls into this film. How can you justify touting this film for its groundbreaking animation while slapping it with such lackluster artwork for its DVD cover? It screams GENERIC and DULL. God, you didn't even use the original logo for the film's title. There were two great Japanese posters used to promote this film and either one would be a vast improvement in displaying Production IG's genius. Please reconsider.
