Takeshi Kitano Is Making Another Zatoichi Film.
KitanoTakeshi.com : a website devoted to Takeshi Kitano, reports exclusively (it seems) that the man is indeed making a second Zatoichi film. The clue : he has dyed his hair blonde again. Don't worry, it's not just speculation, but true.
So, look forward to another superb film from Kitano next year sometime. By my calculations that will be the 28th film to feature the chacter, and having really enjoyed Kitanos first this year, I am looking forward to this already.

I'm curious what films are that amount to 32. I'm aware of Sintaro Katsu's 26 films, and about 100 hours of television, and Beat Kitano's now second film, but what are the other four?

well "my calculations" means "i am not sure exactly" or "i could be wrong" not "this is fact". theres 26 on closer inspection from katsu and one from kitano. wow.
